Background: The role is for a junior programmer to grow with our business as we develop custom PHP Web Applications (not websites), .NET applications and Java Apps. We are not looking for a web jockey (we already have the best web designer the world has ever seen). The candidate must have experience of multiple languages including at least one OO language. A firm understanding of database concepts is also a must including the tradeoffs involved as databases scale. The candidate must be creative and able to think independently. People who cannot work without seeing how someone else has done it first need not apply.
Academic requirements: The ideal candidate will have a Maths/Physics/Engineering background and a CompSci background, but either is acceptable as long as you can code. If you got a 3rd because you spent your finals developing your own solution to the Travelling Salesman problem and forgot to study, then we want to hear from you. If you do not know what the Travelling Salesman Problem is and still got a 3rd, then we probably don't, sorry... Alternatively, if you're a gap year student and think you're the bees knees, get in touch. We don't discriminate on age, only ability!

Location: You can be based anywhere you like. We work in London, but you can be anywhere - we have all the toys including SIP phones and VPNs so you can join us in a virtual capacity.
Remuneration: Depends on experience.
Timetable: March 08 Ongoing, we are starting with 2 and then taking on more as time goes on. |
